The Centre offers young people aged 10 and over the opportunity to be trained in basic techniques of guitar. They are also encouraged to take their first steps in music composition and music notation. Most of these young musicians have already formed their own groups as a result and there is increased demand for this course in the future.
Workshop leader: Armin MustafićDance workshop students are involved in different events organized by PMC, City of Mostar and other domestic and international organizations and institutions. Workshop offers creative education in social and particularly modern dance (street dance, jazz dance, hip hop) involving students aged between 4 and 25.
Workshop leader: Jasmina RebacThe classical ballet workshop has existed since 2006 and it is organized in cooperation with Ballet School Arabesque. The aim of this workshop is to educate children and to introduce the classic ballet art and the historic games to students. Workshop is adapted to student's age and abilities.
Workshop leader: Arleta ĆehićMembers of the Choir are children aged between 4 and 12 years.
The main target of the Choir is to improve children’s singing abilities, to introduce different vocal techniques and worldwide music especially BH and regional traditional music as a way to cherish cultural heritage, as well as to help children to engage in a wider social circle as a result.
In 2000 the PMC started Art workshop in cooperation with Irish NGO Cradle introducing to children basic art techniques (painting, drawing, sculpturing, etc). Nowadays 20 student, including national minorities, attend Art workshop.
Workshop leader: Dolores VeledarPMC has started School of Animation for children and youngsters (12 years old and over) interested in making short animated films in January 2010.
Workshop leader: Jurinko RaičSince the early beginning, PMC gave special attention in Music Therapy Department because of music therapy special aims and lack of this service in the region and children’s huge necessity for this type of therapeutic support as well.
In the beginning, music therapy was given by the international therapists, but due to lack of funds for international costs, Music Therapy was closed down.
In respect to huge importance and music therapy results achieved in helping special needs and traumatized children, PMC set up Creative music therapy workshop in December 2011.
The main target group involved in music therapy workshop is children and youngsters with special needs, as well as clients suffering from emotional and communicational problems, PTSP, concentration problems, developmental difficulties, impaired vision and hearing, autism, psychiatrics disorders.
